Bookings and appointments
Customers book, change or cancel from their phone and get automatic reminders. Ideal for clinics, gyms, restaurants and service businesses.
Your business, in your customers' pocket.
We design and build apps for Android and iOS: bookings, orders, customer areas or internal tools for your team.
Custom apps
We design and build custom mobile apps: from an app that lets your customers book, buy or come back more often, to an internal tool that helps your team work better. We're with you from the first idea to launch on the App Store and Google Play, and we stay on board afterwards. And if what you really need is a website rather than an app, we'll tell you.
Every project is different, but most fit one of these. If yours isn't here, tell us about it anyway.
Customers book, change or cancel from their phone and get automatic reminders. Ideal for clinics, gyms, restaurants and service businesses.
Your catalogue always to hand, with orders and payments from the phone, linked to your online shop or management software.
Loyalty cards, personalised offers and notifications that keep customers coming back.
Job sheets, inspections, clocking in or stock control for teams working away from the office, even with no signal.
Guides, listings, tickets or promotions for visitors and residents, with information that's always up to date.
Assistants, image recognition or personalised recommendations built into the app to save your users time.
Your customers almost certainly use both platforms, so we nearly always launch on both. Before we start, we look at who will use the app and what it needs to do, and choose the best approach.
For iPhone and iPad, published on the App Store and following Apple's design and review guidelines.
For Android phones and tablets, published on Google Play and tested across different screen sizes.
On most projects we work from a single codebase: we write the app once and it runs on both iPhone and Android, with the look and smoothness of a native app. That saves time and makes maintenance simpler. If your app needs to get the most out of the phone's hardware (advanced camera features, augmented reality, sensors), we'll recommend building it natively for each platform.
We talk about your business, who will use the app and the problem it needs to solve. From there we define the features, prioritise what's essential and give you a fixed quote.
We create a clickable prototype so you can see and try the app before any code is written, and we refine it with you until it's right.
We develop the app and everything behind it (admin panel, database, integrations) in short iterations. You can install each version on your phone and give us feedback along the way.
We check the app on real iPhones and Android devices: that it works properly, runs fast, protects data and meets the app stores' rules.
We prepare the store listing, screenshots, copy and privacy policy, submit the app for review on the App Store and Google Play, and deal with any changes they request until it's live.
After launch we fix bugs, keep the app up to date with new versions of iOS and Android, and add improvements based on user feedback and usage data.
It mainly depends on three things: how many screens and features it has, whether it needs a back end (user accounts, admin panel, payments, notifications) and which systems it has to connect to. A catalogue with bookings is a very different job from an app with payments that syncs with your management software. That's why, after an initial meeting and once the features are defined, we give you a fixed quote in writing, with no surprises. If budget is tight, we'll suggest starting with a simpler first version.
It depends on the number of features, the integrations with other systems and how quickly we sign off each stage together. You also need to allow for Apple's and Google's review, which is out of our hands. Along with the quote we give you a stage-by-stage schedule, so you always know what's coming and when.
Yes, and that's the usual approach. With a single codebase the app runs on both platforms, so you don't pay for two full builds. If your audience is heavily concentrated on one platform, we can also start there and add the other later.
A native app is built separately for iPhone and for Android; a cross-platform app is written once and runs on both. For most businesses, cross-platform delivers an equivalent experience at a lower cost and with simpler maintenance. We recommend native when the app relies heavily on the phone's hardware or needs very demanding performance. We decide together during the definition stage.
Yes. We prepare the listing, screenshots, copy and privacy policy, submit the app for review and deal with whatever Apple or Google ask for until it's live. The developer accounts are set up in your company's name, so the app appears as yours and you always stay in control. Apple charges an annual fee for its account and Google a one-off payment; we set this out in the quote.
You do. We hand over the source code and documentation, and the store accounts, data and logins are all in your name. If you ever want to switch provider, you can do so with no strings attached.
An app needs maintaining: every year Apple and Google release new versions of their operating systems and change their requirements, and an app that isn't updated eventually runs into problems or can no longer be updated in the stores. We offer a maintenance plan covering fixes, updates, backups and small improvements. If you'd rather not have one, we quote for each job as and when you need it.
Yes, as long as those systems allow it, and most do. We can sync the app with your online shop, CRM, management software, POS or payment gateway so you don't have to enter data twice. As we work with WordPress and PrestaShop every day, connecting the app to your website is familiar ground. We check this at the start, before quoting.
Yes, and it's often the smartest move. We launch a first version with the essential features (what's often called an MVP), real users try it, and we use what we learn to decide what to add next. You invest less up front and don't pay for features nobody uses.
Possibly, but it depends on each call for applications and on whether the type of solution fits its categories. We're an accredited provider for the programme, so we'll review your case with you, tell you whether your project could qualify and, if it does, prepare the quote and paperwork for your application.
